Social life in the RTG :D

Our enthusiastic group of PhDs and associated members stays connected not only through stimulating academic discussions at the regular brainstorming sessions but also through many informal visits to exciting places around Saarbrücken and neighboring locations. The group has spent some good time exploring the Christmas markt (+ the glühwein!), as well as visiting many restaurants and pubs around town. They also frequent the cafés and the ‘Französischen Platz’ on the campus to grab some nice coffee or lunch together. Many of the members are passionate about sports, and have had a fun time connecting over billiards, kegeln, and yoga, too! Given the convenient and super fast train connections between Saarbrücken and Paris, it is possible to have a nice weekend getaway to beautiful locations around France!
